It looked like alot of people liked my Best/Worst of mascaras…so now onto hair products…
.) Joico KPAX Reconstructor Innn love with this stuff. Has the protein found in hair (Keratin) and basically goes into your hair cuticle and restores the protein that was lost due to overprocessing, over drying, etc etc. I used it when my hair got FRIED due to platinum highlights..and my hair really got saved. Works amazingly. Highly recommend this for anyone who has overprocessed/bleached out, dry, dull, straw-like hair. It smoothes it out and really rebuild your cuticle.
.) Matrix Solutionist INSTACURE Leave-in conditioning spray Awesome. I use this daily on every single one of my clients. No joke. Makes even the coarsest, thickest, curliest, most damaged hair, combable and manageable. I love it. Great detangler for children or people who have fine hair as well.
.)Pureology AntiFade Complex Leave-in Treatment Does exactly what the label says. Fights colored hair from fading. Protects the hair like its a suncreen and blocks uv rays from fading your color. Plus it smells amazing, which is always a big deal for women.
.) Matrix Sleek Look Heat Protector Spray I tell ALL of my clients to use a heat protector whether you’re curling, straightening, blowdrying, or using rollers on your hair…USE A HEAT PROTECTOR. It’s great insurance for your hair, you wanna have salon-quality hair, then baby your hair and invest in GOOD product. This is the best heat protector, it doesn’t make the hair stiff like some do, this has a light oil base in it so it moisturizes the hair as well.
.) Biosilk Silk Therapy Gloss Before I ever even became a hairstylist. My mom got me into this stuff in middle school. Its the BEST gloss/shine serum i’ve used yet, and trust me…I’ve tried ‘em all. You definately do not need a whole lot of it. Its great when you have overly curly hair to use to smoothen down those curls and define them. Great when you’re going for a sleek straight look and wanna tame frizz and fly aways. Use it on wet or dry hair.
.) Redken Etreme! Anti-Snap Leave-in Treatment From Redken’s Extreme! Line for damaged hair. I use this on my hair/on my clients hair all the time. Best leave-in treatment. I love it. I couldn’t style my hair if I didn’t have this. Has hair proteins and vitamins in it so it goes into the cuticle and repairs the damaged hair. Love love love it. I use about 3 pumps in my hair and just work it through and leave it in. Doesn’t make my hair feel coated like some leave in treatments do. Doesn’t make it over-oily either.
.) Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play Hairspray I’ve tried so many hairsprays….I love Big Sexy for sure. My hair stays how I want it to, no movement. Great for when I wanna tease my hair, hold my curl, spray down fly aways. Its just all around an awesome hairspray, and it smells great!
.)TIGI Catwalk Curlesque Collection Curls Rock Amplifer HORRIBLE. AWFUL. I will never use this ever again. It made my waves feel SOOO coated, oily, and greasey. Bleh. I just cannot stand this product whatsoever. Its terrible. I REFUSE to use this on any of my clients or myself. Worst $18.00 I’ve ever spent. Seriously.
.) Garnier Frutis Curl Shaping Spray Gel First of all if you’re using Garnier you’re just being cheap with your hair and not investing in good salon product. This is awful stuff. Tons of alcohol in it…which dries out your hair and takes any moisture you had in it..out. Doesn’t shape your curls whatsoever. Leaves them weighed down and dry. Literally makes your hair feel like dry Top Ramen. I’d never recommend this.
.) SUN IN If you use this in your hair. STOP. This is SUCH a bad product and TERRIBLE for your hair. Soooo much peroxide and alcohol in it. I’ve had clients who have had to cut majority of their hair off because there was so much damage. This crap just eats at your hair and dries the hell out of it. Please don’t ever use this. This is like cursing to a hairstylist.
